Mary Cynthia Burgess, 62, a resident of Englewood and formerly of Florida City, Fla., passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012.

She was a graduate of Hiwassee Junior College and the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.

She was the daughter of Alice M. Burgess and the late Charles L. Burgess.

A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of Englewood with the Rev. Russ Maples officiating. The time and date will be announced later.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Englewood building fund.
