Triplett stood in 31st place out of the field of 55 after shooting 14-over 85 in her first round at Stone Rivers Golf Course in Murfreesboro.
During second round play, Triplett had some trouble with the front nine, hitting five bogeys. However, she made a strong finish on a back nine that gave her fits Tuesday.
In her first round Triplett shot a 46 with four double bogeys on Nos. 10-18, but Wednesday she improved that by 11 strokes. She notched birdies on No. 10, 17 and 18, opening and finishing the back half of the course strong.
Her strong finish helped her improve to a three-way tie for 20th place going into the closing round today, where she tees off at 12:40 p.m.
Sarah Harris from Hermitage leads the tournament after shooting a 3-over 74 to open play and an even par in her second round.

Rippy moved to fourth after shooting a second round 78 and Burris settled into a tie for ninth after a second-round 81.
Alexandra Farnsworth from Nashville finds herself a stroke out of the lead going into the final day of competition and Lacie York from Kingsport sits in third, two back of the lead.
