EMS responds to a motorcycle crash, finds man but no bike

Bradley County Emergency Medical Services reported a motorcycle accident on Frontage Road Sunday, however, there reportedly was no motorcycle found at the scene when EMS arrived.

According to Stan Clark, the medical service responded to the scene at 3:30 p.m., where a 40-year-old man was found lying on the side of Frontage Road with multiple injuries. He was unable to give an account to paramedics as to what had transpired, according to EMS reports.

Clark said the paramedic in charge determined the man required treatment at a level one trauma center. An air medical unit was reportedly called in and a Life Force helicopter landed at SkyRidge Medical Center. The man was flown to Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga. His condition is not known at this time. The man’s name is not being released.

Deputies on scene were John Davis and Shaun McKee from the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office. Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
