Snider, Sharma lead Waterdog attack

As reported in Tuesday’s Banner, the Cleveland Aqua Tigers won a heated battle against their crosstown rival Mosby Park Waterdogs in Chattanooga Area Swim League action Monday evening at the Tinsley Park pool.

After trailing 116-102 at the half and 212-193 later in the match the Aqua Tigers came scratching back for a 393-346 victory in the first meeting of the summer season between the two local squads.

The scoring leaders for the Waterdogs were not available before press time for Tuesday’s story, but are as follows: Pete Davis led the way with 19 points, while Julie Bryant and Christian Torbett posted 18 apiece.

Bristol Snider and Davina Sharma collected 16 points for the Waterdogs, while Weston Barnes pitched in with 14. Maya Sharma and John Bryant notched 13 points, while Tanya Sharma added a dozen to the effort.

Luke Hunt, Michaela Barnes, Andre Parker and Alex Morrow had 11 points apiece in the meet, while Gabriel Badger garnered 10.

CAT (2-1) will be back in Red Division action Thursday evening with a trip to Ooltewah (3-0), while the Waterdogs have the evening off. The situation will be reversed Monday as the Mosby Park (2-1) crew travel to Red Bank (1-2), while the Aqua Tigers have a bye.

The two local squads will square off again on July 9 at Mosby Park.
