CHATTANOOGA — Half of the four local participants in Monday’s Tennessee Junior Golf Association Tour stop at the Brainerd Golf Course tied for second in their respective age divisions.
Cleveland’s Pete Williams carded a 5-over 41 to match Kevin Siniard and Shaan Dasai, both of Chattanooga, for the runner-up slot in the Boys 10-13 Tour bracket. The trio was just a stroke off the pace set by Charles Chambers of Rossville, Ga.
Drew Linkous of Cleveland tied for seventh in the same age division with a 9-over 45.
Benton’s Danielle Bates also shot a 9-over 45 to tie for the second spot in the Girls 15-18 Tour division, shooting the same as Ryann McCuiston, of Chattanooga. The pair were just two strokes back of Englewood’s Mattie Cardin, who claimed the top spot.
Kelsey Cassada, from Cleveland, tied for fourth in the same bracket with a 54.
