CODY PAINTER was presented with the Bradley County EMS Community Hero Award on Friday. Earlier this month Cody was at home with his grandfather Eddie Painter when Eddie began choking and went unresponsive. Cody attempted to clear his airway by performing abdominal thrusts and actually had to perform CPR. His quick actions is why his grandfather Eddie is still alive today. The award was presented at the Bradley County EMS Station 1 on Paul Huff Parkway. Cody is a graduate of Cleveland State and begins the nursing program there in the fall.
