James Cleaston Lenderman, 70, a resident of Benton, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012, in an Etowah hospital.

He was born in the Coker Creek community on Dec. 31, 1941, a son of the late James Marion and Edith Lenderman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Vernell Moore and Phyllis Richardson; and one brother, J. C. Lenderman.

Survivors include two daughters: Stacy Lenderman and Diane Ekin, both of Cleveland; and one son, David Lee Martin of Dalton, Ga.; one sister, Barbara Langdale; and two brothers: Raymond Lenderman and Terry Wilson; and numerous other extended family members and friends.

A memorial service is planned for Saturday, July 7, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Ocoee Baptist Church in Benton.
