He was also affectionately known to many as “Big Al” or “Heavy”.
He was born in Etowah on March 3, 1969, a son of the late Bill Haggard. He was a friend to and loved by all who those who knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Pamela Haggard; mother, Billie Haggard; children: Felecia Kelley, Dale Adams, Natasha Austin (Wes), and Laura Gentry; two sisters: Myra McKenzie and Cyrethea Presley; one brother, Luther Haggard; grandchildren: Ayden Kelley, Corben Kelley, Kayliegh Gentry and Kyraden Gentry: mother-in-law, Edna Shields (William); father-in-law, Robert Stiles; two sisters-in-law: Robbin Presley (Rodney) and Lisa Faile (Don); and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
A memorial service will be held at noon Thursday, July 5, 2012, at Spring Place Church of God of Prophecy with the Rev. Richard Shorter officiating. The family will gather at 11 a.m. to receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to a fund set up to offset Allen’s medical bills at any Suntrust Bank location.
