The Money Hunger Games was the theme for Polk County’s 4-H Teen camp June 11 through 14. Thirty-four 4-H teens in grades seven through 12 from across Polk County enjoyed a camp full of exciting activities. The camp offered teens the opportunity to learn about the ins and outs of money. Workshops and classes were held concerning their money habits and the campers attitude about money. Representatives from First Volunteer Bank, First Bank of Tennessee, Tennessee Career Center and Tennessee Farm Bureau gave the campers information about the banking and Insurance industry. The camp group ended camp by doing community service work at People Helping people in Benton. Teens helped tag clothing, load recycled clothing, and clean up the sales floor and straight up display items for the clothing bank. Teens at the camp also enjoyed normal camp activities such as field events , sports, talent show, and just hanging out with friends. Highlights from the Teen 4-H Camp are shown in these photos.
