They competed against numerous dance schools from Texas, Florida, Louisianna, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Kentucky. they won five national titles.
Makenna Baker was awarded 11 and Under Intermediate National Champion Soloist.
Allie Elliott was awarded 12 and over Intermediate National Champion Soloist.
Mini Company Lyrical won 11 and under Recreational Large Group National Champions, Junior Company Lyrical won 11 and under Elite Small Group National Champions and Company Hip Hop was awarded 12 and over Elite Line National Champions.
All dances were created, designed and choreographed by CDPAC executive artistic director Nisa Hooper. Other staff contributing to the pieces technically and choreographically were Tria Montgomery, Abby Bowman, Caitlyn Lynn, Bill Reid, Desmond Smith and James Alsop.
Avant Garde Company Auditions and Evaluations are Aug. 11.
The 2012 - 2013 Fall/Spring Dance Open House and registration is Aug.7.
