She was a JCPenney retiree and active in the East Lake community as a member of the East Lake Senior Citizens, the East Lake Neighborhood Council, East Lake Garden Club, and the Cardinal Garden Club. She was a faithful member of East Lake Baptist Church and later East Ridge Baptist Church after their merger.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy E. Martin; parents, Lyde and Maude Dilbeck; and her brothers: George Dilbeck and W.J. Dilbeck.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Dan) Hylkema of Stockbridge, Ga.; grandchildren: Danette (Sean) Patrick and Derek (Mary Kay) Hylkema; and great-grandchildren: Emerson Patrick, Madelyn Patrick, Dakota Hylkema, and Allison Hylkema.
A Remembrance of Life Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2012, at Calhoun First Baptist Church in Calhoun, with burial following in the church cemetery.
Grandson-in-law, the Rev. Sean Patrick, will be officiating.
