Heavy hauls still rolling on I-75
HEAVY HAULS like this one parked along the side of Interstate 75 South are still rolling down the busy roadway en route to the Wacker Polysilicon North America construction site. This piece of equipment is reported to be more than 200 feet long. Tennessee Department of Transportation reports the equipment is being transported during evening and early morning hours to avoid the heaviest traffic rushes. Hours for transport are 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. The next big hauls are scheduled tonight and Aug. 6 in McMinn County from Mile Marker 49 to Mile Marker 36; and also Thursday and Aug. 7 from McMinn County Mile Marker 36 to Bradley County Mile Marker 33.
