Susan Calfee Elliott, 38, was taken into custody Monday evening after officer Julius Porter completed his investigation and determined her to be the primary aggressor.
According to the police report, Greg Grammer, 41, went to Elliott’s home on Cumberland Trace where he had been painting a room at the home. The couple began drinking. He apparently passed out and was awakened when Elliott began hitting him.
According to the report, Elliott then instructed her 3-year-old child to “bite Mr. Grammer.”
The officer observed two bite marks on Grammer’s arm, as well as marks on his torso and shoulder.
After making contact with Elliott at her home, she reportedly stated no assault took place.
Further investigation revealed a baseball bat and a wooden paddle were the weapons allegedly used.
Both items were located in the home where evidence was collected. Elliott was taken into custody and transported to the Bradley County Jail where she was charged. She was released from jail Tuesday after appearing in Bradley County General Sessions Court and posting bond, according to Bradley County Sheriff’s Office information.

According Bob Gault, media relations coordinator for BCSO, deputies responded to London Drive where they found a female had been assaulted.
A suspect has been named in the investigation.

• A Georgetown Road resident returned home during the weekend to find it burglarized.
Camille McGill told officer Kody Fox someone entered her home while she was out of town, causing damage and taking approximately $18,000 in items.
Missing from the home was assorted jewelry, a television, personal identification, a DVD player, sliver coins, cash, silver flatware and other items.
According to the report, a door had been breached to gain entry.
Crime scene investigators responded to the scene to collect evidence.
Detective Walter Mitchell is in charge of the investigation.
