The musical repertoire includes 33 semi-classical, romantic, jazz, Latin, Hawaiian and Filipino songs.
Miller calls the collection “a dream come true” because it helped serve to comfort and console those who listened to it. It is his hope that it will do the same for many of his fans and friends in Bradley County.
“The sound of the piano is incredible as the music goes up to the heavens,” said Miller, who is hoping this recording will find its way into other hospitals, hospices, long-term care and assisted living facilities as a gift to those who will enjoy the memories elicited by the songs of their time.
Miller, a graduate of Bradley Central High School (’66), is married to Lori Jordan Miller, Cleveland High School (’81) and Lee University (’89) graduate. They, along with their 11-year old son, Jordan, return to Cleveland at least once a year to visit family and eat at Jordan’s BBQ — owned by Lori’s brother, Dennis Jordan.
The Millers have been living in the Hawaiian islands for 13 years where Lori serves as the executive director for Kaua`i Hospice and Ivo entertains in the Poipu area of the island. They attend Kapa`a First Hawaiian Church where Ivo is the pianist. To family and friends in the Cleveland area, Miller said, “Mahalo nui loa!” — Thank you very much!
