A number of Sony PlayStation games and pieces of jewelery were among items reportedly taken from a Blue Springs Lane residence during the weekend.

A report filed by deputy Brandon Edwards indicated Ethan Blair had stayed away from home overnight and upon returning Saturday found someone had pried a door open to gain entry.

Missing was a 32-inch television; a PlayStation game system and several games; 20 DVDs; and a jewelry box containing rings, necklaces and other items.

Detective Kevin White of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division responded to the scene to aid in the investigation.

The missing items were valued at nearly $5,000.

- Investigation is also continuing into a Minnis Road burglary during which a television and furniture were taken.

Deputy Cheryl Holloway filed a report for Gloria Morris and Pauline Kelley.

Morris and Kelley had left the home Saturday morning and when they returned later, someone had made entry and took a big-screen television and a cherry wood music center.

Officials could not determine how entry to the residence had been made. Criminal Investigations Division detectives were notified of the burglary.

The television and music center were valued at $660.

- Deputy David Harper filed a burglary report for a landlord who reported someone had taken a dishwasher from his rental property.

Harper spoke with Karl Sodergren at the Harrison Pike property.

According to his report, Harper noticed several fingerprints on an area where the perpetrators gained entry to the structure.

Detectives responded to the scene to collect evidence. Damages and loss were estimated at $725.

Investigation is continuing.
