Professional touring and recording artist Wess Adams will headline the Cowboy Gospel Jubilee this Friday evening at 7. The cowboy singer from Shelbyville is making his first appearance on the free, Opry-style show.

“Wess is currently winding up a Canadian tour,” said Will Nichols, producer of the popular songfest. “He just rereleased his sold-out CD, ‘God’s Country” to feature an added duet with Allison Spear.”

Adams’ music is cowboy and Western, with a musical style that is reminiscent of Gene Autry, Eddy Arnold and Danny Gaither, in an up-to-date retro style that is current in Southern gospel country.

“We’re excited and privileged to bring a professional cowboy singer such as Wess to Cleveland,” said Nichols. “And the Jubilee is a terrific venue to see and hear him live. We keep it a fast-moving show where a number of performers perform various styles of music.”

Also appearing on the Jubilee is award winning singer-songwriter Elmer Bramlett and the Cowboy Church Band and Chorale. Nichols, known as "The Gospel Gun," is the announcer and a crowd favorite.

“The Cowboy Jubilee is a come-as-you-are event,” Nichols said. “And is located between Blackburn Road and Blue Springs Road in the Dockery Heights subdivision. A love offering is taken for the headliner.”
