Ernest Glenn “Ernie” Snell, 72, a resident of Athens, passed away Monday July 30, 2012, at his residence.

A native of Buffalo, N.Y., he was born June 25, 1940, and was a son of the late Glenn Snell. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by one daughter, Dawn Snell.

He leaves here to cherish his memory his wife, Barbara Snell, of Athens; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Marie Snell of Wellington, Ohio; mother, Jessie Snell of Buffalo, N.Y.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces nephews and other extended family members.

The service will be private.
