Freshmen Orientation will be will be held today from 5 to 6 p.m. followed by simultaneous student and parent meetings with the principals at 6 p.m.
Students will update registration forms, receive schedules, receive lockers, set up lunch accounts and pay school fees for the upcoming year. Students, parents, and community members are encouraged to walk around campus and learn about the new Academies at Walker Valley. Booths will be set up highlighting various academic programs and clubs.
If there are problems with a schedule, the student should speak with a guidance counselor before leaving orientation.
The first day of classes is Tuesday. School hours are 8:15 to 3:30 p.m. All students and parents are encouraged to check www.walkervalleyhigh.com for all WVHS news and updates.
