“Today, we are celebrating 350 more birthdays a day because of the progress we have made, but we can save more. To save more birthdays per day, we need the community’s help in reaching the $250,000 fundraising goal set by the Relay For Life of Bradley County Committee,” noted Angela Mathis, American Cancer Society community representative.
In an effort to reach the committee’s fundraising goal, Relay For Life of Bradley County will be hold a golf tournament Aug. 19 at the Chatata Valley Golf with a shotgun start at 1 p.m.
The cost per two person team is $130 and includes lunch, snacks, green fees, golf cart and goody bag.
Please contact Tammy Leatherwood at 303-6950 or Mathis at 855-2778.
“We are about $23,000 under goal. We are so thankful to have dedicated volunteers who have continued to work so hard and teams that keep pushing to help us reach our goal,” said Mathis.
“Many of our teams are continuing to host fundraisers in our community. We ask that you please support them.”
She noted, “We are also very grateful to all of the companies for matching team fundraisers and going above and beyond.”
The 2012 event sponsors included Amedysis Home Health, Cleveland Daily Banner, Cleveland Regional Cancer Center, Mix 104.1, SkyRidge Medical Center and Tennessee Cancer Specialist, Survivor Sponsor Life Care Centers of American and Memory Sponsor Companion Funeral and Cremation Services.
