Dr. Ron Coleman will speak at His Hands Extended Devotional at 7 a.m. Thursday, at the Garden Plaza, 3500 Keith St. N.W.

Bonnie Brannen will speak at Community Hall Church, 1305 6th St., Sunday at 11 a.m.

Homecoming will be held at Southview Baptist Church Sunday, beginning at 10:30 a.m. Special singers will be Crystal River. There will be dinner following the morning service. There will be no evening service.

Elkmont Baptist Church will be in revival services Aug. 20, through Aug. 23 at 7 p.m. with Evangelist Daniel Stewart of Robbinsville, N.C., speaking. There will be special singing nightly.

Bring a Friend Day will be held at The Church of God of The Union Assembly, 3300 Dalton Pike Sunday, beginning at 10:30 a.m. There will be guest singers and a special message from the pastor.

The Rev. Larry Oliver, president of the local Christian Motorcycle Association, will be the guest speaker Sunday at 6 p.m. at Kinser Church of God.

The youth at Emmanuel Baptist Church will host a Youth Rally on Saturday with youth from different churches. There will be fun, food, games, blowups and music.

Heaven’s Gates and Refuge will be singing at Good Hope Baptist Church in Decatur Sunday at 6 p.m. A senior breakfast will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. with games, prizes, food and fellowship.

Trinity Trio will sing at Washington Avenue Baptist Church Sunday at 11 a.m.

Philadelphia Baptist Church, 910 30th St., will have Pastor Appreciation Day Sunday at 11 a.m. Guest singers will be Thankful. There will be dinner after the morning service.

Pastor Appreciation Day honoring Pastor Ronnie Bishop and wife, Peg, will be held at Trinity Chapel, 2779 APD-40 S.E., Sunday, beginning at 11:15 a.m. There will be lunch following the service.

Revival service will be held at Unity Church of God, 3144 Fulbright Road, Thursday through Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 6 p.m. Pastor Tony Gillian from Orlando, Fla., will be the speaker.
