Mildred Jackson Shaw, 92, a resident of Cleveland, passed away on Monday, Aug. 20, 2012, at Morningside of Cleveland.

She was born on April 14, 1920, in Philadelphia, Pa., daughter of the late James and Laura Jackson.

She was of the Roman Catholic faith and a member of St. Therese Catholic Church in Cleveland.

She was a native of Philadelphia moved to Cleveland in 1997 and has made that her home ever since.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard J. Shaw Sr.; and one sister, Irene Coulston.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, two daughters: Mildred Massey of Weaverville, N.C., and Linda Hee (James) of Philadelphia; one son, Richard J. Shaw Jr. (Barbara) of Cleveland; two grandchildren: Jacquelynn Massey (Tim Healy) and Jennifer Spezia (Anthony III); three great- grandchildren: Anthony Spezia IV, Dominic Spezia, and Anna Bella Spezia; and numerous other extended family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Philadelphia.

The family extends appreciation to the staff at Morningside of Cleveland for the excellent care provided their mother and grandmother.
