The Retired Ministers and Widows Association of the Cleveland and Chattanooga area will meet at Ooltewah Church of God Tuesday at 10 a.m. Special music and singing will be presented with a covered dish following in the church fellowship hall.

The Bradley County Democratic Party Headquarters, 147 Inman St., is now open for information on the Democratic candidates running for the Tennessee and national elective offices and for the registering of voters. The headquarters will be open Monday through Saturday until after the Nov. 6 election, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Literacy classes will begin at The Refuge Community Centre with CPR certification Thursday at 6 p.m.; Financial Literacy, Sept. 10 and 11 at 5:30 p.m.; and Prenatal Literacy, Oct. 1 and 2 at 6 p.m. All classes are free and you can call or email to register at 423-584-5211 or contact@therefugecommunity.org.
