The Rev. Matt WarD is now serving as pastor at West Cleveland Baptist Church. With Ward is his wife Tara and son Noah.
A native of Soddy-Daisy, Ward is married to Tara. They have one son, Noah, who will be 3 in December.
Ward comes to West Cleveland after serving on active duty as a chaplain with the U.S. Army. He served a tour of duty in Mahmudiyah, Iraq, followed by time at Fort Riley, Kan.
He plans to continue to serve as a military reserve chaplain with the Tennessee National Guard.
Ward has a heart for missions. He intends to “see the people of West Cleveland Baptist Church grow in discipleship as they reach out into the community of Bradley County and the world.”
West Cleveland Baptist is located at 1959 Westland Drive S.W. near the Coca-Cola plant.
