Betty Ruth “Moma Betty” Roberts, 76, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday morning, Sept. 6, 2012, in a Athens health care facility.
Moma Betty, as she was affectionately known to everyone, was the daughter of the late Nellie Lochman Cross and Carl Cross. She was preceded in death by sisters: Ella Mae Shope and Aileen Howard.
She enjoyed working in her flower garden, fishing and spending time with her family.
She was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include her husband, Lonnie Gene Roberts of Cleveland; her daughters: Debbie Lankford and her husband, Anthony, and Gloria Diane Murphy and her husband, Eddie, all of Cleveland; her son, Gary “Bubba” Roberts and his wife, Cathy, of Cleveland; her grandchildren: Lauren Ashley King and her husband, Stephen, Alana Denise Renfro, Logan Ryan Murphy, Daniel Gene Myers, Dustin Tyler Roberts and Jonathan Roberts; her great-grandchildren, Ethan Nathaniel Renfro and Nevaeh Grace Renfro; and several nieces and nephews.
The Remembrance of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, from the Wildwood Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Rev. Richard D. Snyder and Pastor Ronnie Bishop officiating.
Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with Alan Walker, Michael Wilson, Logan Murphy, Dustin Roberts, Andrew Hardin, Stephen King and David Hardin serving as pallbearers.
A dove release will conclude the services.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 this evening at the funeral homes.
