Dr. Bill Balzano, TCPS president, announced the addition of Becky Chaffin, Courtney Guinn, Carolyn Howard, Angie Phipps, Jenn Preston and Hilda Rodriguez.
Chaffin will be teaching advanced fifth-grade math as well as sixth-grade math and pre-algebra. She has a bachelor of science degree from Urbana University.
Guinn has a bachelor of arts from Western Governor’s University and is a candidate for the master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Lee University. She will be teaching a fourth-grade class.
Howard has been hired as a teaching assistant at the thirdgrade level.
Phipps holds a bachelor of arts from Tennessee Wesleyan University and a master of arts degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She will be teaching upper-level English and literature courses.
Preston will serve as the college/career counselor as well as teach sixth- and seventh-grade Bible classes. Preston holds a master of arts degree from Liberty University.
Rodriguez will teach Spanish. She holds a bachelor of arts from Lee University with a master of srts degree in progress.
Balzano states, “Academic excellence is a pursuit with which the TCPS community delights.
