Jessie Bankston Williams Standall, 83, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday morning, Sept. 9, 2012, in a local health care facility.
She was the daughter of the late Lillian Narcie Vincent Bankston and Jesse Lawrence Bankston. She was also preceded in death by her husbands: Bill Williams and Jim Standall; daughter, Niomi Morris; sons: John Ross and Buddy Williams; and her brothers: Joe, Gene and Robert Bankston.
She enjoyed traveling and taking care of her family. She was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include her daughters: Naomi Williams and her husband, Eugene Stamper, of Hudson, Fla., and Pama Debity of Cleveland; son, Will Williams of Etowah; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a brother, the Rev. Johnny Bankston of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.
The Remembrance of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, from the Wildwood Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Revs. Johnny Bankston and Robert Bankston Jr. officiating.
Interment will follow in the Candies Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Chris Bankston, the Rev. Robert Bankston Jr., Travis Blankenship, Trinity Peterson, David Vaughn and Mark Collins serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
