The Tennessee Christian Preparatory School junior varsity Hawks flew to a 14-6 victory over Chattanooga Christian Monday night on the gridiron.
The Hawks came out strong in the first quarter led by Kyle Harris, who intercepted a Chargers pass and returned the pick for the first Hawks touchdown. Eric Hall ran in for the 2-point conversion, giving TCPS an 8-0 lead.
The Chargers broke through the Hawks’ defense for a score to make it 8-6 after the conversion failed. Hawks’ quarterback Isaiah Bolton extended the TCPS lead to 14-6 with a 50-yard pitch and catch to Quentin Slade, who raced to paydirt for the final Hawks score.
The Hawks will take to the field again Monday against the Silverdale Seahawks. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
