Momentum Academy Dance is calling on the Cleveland Community, all ages, to join “The Pink Glove Dance The Competition” on Sept. 22, at 5 p.m., at Shepard Field, located at Mosley Park off Inman Street.

“We would like to have as many people possible in the video to star and spread the word about breast cancer awareness and prevention in our community Pink Glove Dance video as a Pink Glove Dancer,” a spokesman said.

The Pink Glove Dance is a video competition sponsored by Medline Industries, Inc. manufacturer of the pink gloves and producer of the original Pink Glove video. Everyone will get Pink Gloves from Medline to wear during the dance.

As part of the Pink Glove Dance 2012 Competition MAD's video will be posted on on Oct 12 along with the videos of the other participants to be viewed by the public.

Viewers can vote on their favorite video.

The top three winners will receive a donation to the breast cancer charity of their choice. First place is $10,000, second place is $5,000 and third place is $2,000. Momentum Academy has selected Bradley County Relay for Life as its charity.

The representative said they would “love to have as many cancer survivors as possible in the video.”

Anyone wanting to bring photos in memory of a lost love one can post it on a memory wall.

As an extra for the Bradley County Relay of Life, MAD will have a large pink glove on site for anyone wishing to donate to the Relay of Life.

Anyone donating to our large Pink Glove for Relay of life will also be given a ticket on a video camera .
