He was retired from Hardwick Stove and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Bessie Dyer; son, LeeRoy Dyer; brothers: Harvey Dyer and James Dyer; and granddaughter, Kelly Dyer.
He is survived by his wife, Carrie Dyer; daughter, Lecia Teague and husband, Omar; grandchildren: Jason Sneed, Stacey Hurst, Lindsey Teague, Melissa Teague, Jennifer Barrett and Travis Dyer; great-grandchildren: Chase Ogles, D.J. Grayless, Peyton Green and Holden Barrett; great-great- grandchild, Chandler Womac; brothers and sisters: Debronda LeaBourd, Connie Thomas, Ruby Beam, Gladys Kendrick, EvaLea Pilcher, Catherine Harden, Effie Ramey, Randall Dyer, Homer Gene Dyer, William Dyer, Lester Dyer and Fred Dyer; and several nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be conducted on today, Sept. 16, 2012, at Greasy Creek Cemetery.
