Eva Nell Phillips, 59, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, in a local hospital.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bill McBryar two brothers; Billy “Butch” McBryar and Larry McBryar; and her mother-in-law, Ruth Phillips.
She was an employee with Walmart and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Ricky Phillips, of Cleveland; daughters: Karen McGrath and her husband, Chris, of Cleveland, Christie Corbin and her husband, Randy, of Georgetown; mother, Lois McBryar of Dalton, Ga.; brother, Jeff McBryar and his wife, Amy, of Cleveland; grandchildren: Brandon Nations, Tanner Nations, Makayla Phillips, Kylie McGrath and Michelle Brewer; great-grandchild, Jasmine Brewer; stepmother, Nancy McBryar of Cleveland; brother-in-law, Barry Phillips and his wife, Patty, of Cleveland; sister-in-law, Ann Waldrop and her husband, Jim, of Birmingham; father-in-law, Thomas “Skeet” Phillips of Cleveland; her very special friend, Kathy Ballard of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, at the Wildwood Ave Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Rev. Mike Rymer officiating.
Interment will follow in the Hilcrest Cemetery with Brandon Nations, Tanner Nations, Dustin Phillips, Darrell Waldrop, Mike Patterson, and Chuck Peels serving as casket bearers.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
