Michael Edward Boring, 41, a resident of Gadsden, Ala., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012.
He was a graduate of Bryan College and Southern Seminary. He was a member of Cross Creek Community Church where he served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher. He worked for Advantage Computer Solutions.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry; daughter, Madison; sons, Mason and Micah, all of Gadsden; parents, Ed and Shirley Boring of Cleveland; sisters: Lori Heil and her husband, Chris, of Aracaju, Brazil, Sonya Huddleston and her husband, Alan, of Cleveland and Ashley Haury and her husband, Charles, of St. George, Utah; grandfather, Earl Presley of Apison; four nephews: Marcus and Fisher Heil and Kayson and Boone Haury; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The funeral will be held at 6 p.m. today, Sept. 21, 2012, at Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Chapel in Gadsden, Ala., with Pastors Chris Walker and Seth Harbison officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until the service time at 6 p.m.
The family will receive friends Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the North Ocoee Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes, which is in charge of local arrangements.
Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery in McDonald, with cousins serving as pallbearers.
