Joyce Bryson, 70, of Benton, went to her heavenly reward on Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, at her home.
She was a member of Old Ocoee Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Eula Bishop; brothers: Jack, J.W., Paul and James Bishop; and sisters: Bonnie Bishop and Betty Jo Burke.
She was dearly loved and will be missed by those she has left behind.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Jimmy Bryson, of Benton; daughter, Kim Brackett and husband, Ralph, of Benton; grandson, Dylan Brackett, who was her pride and joy; brother, Dan Bishop and wife, Patricia, of Chattanooga; sister-in-law, Joan Bush and husband, Greg, of Cleveland; sister-in-law, Tracy Alexander and husband, Rock, of Cleveland; brothers-in-law: Lynn Bryson of Ringgold, Ga., and Julian Burke of Cleveland, several nieces and nephews, as well as many dear friends.
A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. today, Sept. 23, 2012, in Benton Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Harold Firestone officiating.
A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 today at Higgins Funeral Home.
