The Tennessee Christian Preparatory School Hawks had the privilege to play the Grace Baptist Academy Eagles in a middle school football match at Grace. The Hawks came into the game with an 0-4 record.

"The Hawks were a different team tonight" said TC Prep Athletic Director Leslie Bennett.

"They had energy and execution that we have not seen yet this year."

Isaiah Bolton rushed for 30 yards and a Hawks touchdown in the first quarter of play.

A pitch to Hawks running back Jordan Martin resulted in the team scoring the second touchdown of the game and bringing the score to 12-0 TCPS.

Excellent defense kept the Eagles out of end zone and kept the ball in the hands of the very capable Hawks’ QB, Jake Patterson.

With two minutes left in the first half of the game, TCPS’s Luke Benton returned a kickoff return for a 60-yard touchdown, bringing the score at halftime to 20-0 TC Prep.

The Hawks did not lose any momentum coming out of the break.

Patterson completed a 15-yard pass to Isaiah Bolton. Bolton then rushed for 50 yards on the next play for another Hawks touchdown.

The TC Prep head coach said of the first win of the season, "I am proud; they showed a lot of heart and determination but more importantly, I saw leadership on the field and that means more to me than the win.”

The Hawks will play at Our Lady of Perpetual Help next Thursday, Sept. 27.
