Phyllis Jane Denton, 70, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, in Murfreesboro. She was formerly of Sweetwater.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Sweetwater. She loved going to Sunday school and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents, Bruce and Ruby Reed Mincey; her kitty cats, Big Boy, Spunky, Toto, Kit, Misty and Tiger; and “grandcats”: Rocky and Bowinkle.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law; Kenneth James Denton and wife, Karen, of Cleveland and Edward Bruce Denton and wife, Fei Ying Pai, of Murfreesboro; grandchildren: Courtney Segovia and husband, Michael, Cameron Denton and Kayla Denton, Albert Bruce Denton and Ruby Grace Denton; great-grandchild, Cadence Marie Segovia; brother, Ronald Bruce Mincey; aunt and uncle, Eula and Bob Coleman; and several cousins.

The funeral was held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, in Sweetwater Memory Chapel with Dr. Frank Crawford officiating.

A graveside service and interment was held at 11 a.m. Monday in Sweetwater Memorial Park.
