Mamie Jo Mangrum, 86, of McDonald, who was residing in Ringgold, Ga., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012.

She attended the Michigan Avenue Baptist Church in Cleveland.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer “Jack” Mangrum; several grandchildren and brothers and sisters.

Survivors include two daughters: Barbara (Horace) Beasley and Norma (Melvin) Sluder; three sons: Junior Douglas (Linda) Mangrum, Rick Mangrum and Daniel (Sherrie) Mangrum; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Louise Green and Leaner Brown; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 7414 Old Lee Highway, with the Rev. Jack Rinks officiating and assisted by Richard Covrea.

Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
