This year’s theme “New Media, New Perspectives: Keeping Media Modern,” will feature several local and regional communications professionals in separate presentations, as well as a discussion panel featuring Lee University students as panelists.
“We are working with the exciting theme, ‘New Media, New Perspectives: Keeping Media Modern’, and we are sure it will be an amazing conference,” said Ryan Faricelli, CMA president.
“We are welcoming Jon Moss from Moss Media Labs in Chattanooga and our very own Kevin Trowbridge, now at Belmont University, as our keynote speakers.”
Moss is founder and flight director of Moss Media Labs, a group of marketing professionals and media specialists who advise companies and professionals on how to best position themselves in online spaces, build marketing strategies to reach targeted audiences and provide guidance on techniques and strategies to leverage cutting edge tools and achieve desired results.
Trowbridge, a former CMA member, is part of the public relations faculty at Belmont University. He previously taught public relations and journalism at Lee University, where he also directed the university’s student media operation as faculty advisor to the campus newspaper and the university yearbook.
Trowbridge served as chair of the programming committee for the 2012 PRSA District conference, recently held in Chattanooga.

The conference will begin at 8 a.m. on Oct. 5 with registration, and Moss will be the morning keynote speaker, beginning at around 8:45 a.m.
There will be two hour-long breakout sessions leading up to lunch and the presentation by Trowbridge.
Two more hour-long breakout sessions will begin around 1:15 p.m. leading up to the discussion panel at around 2:30 p.m. The conference will conclude by 4 p.m.
Cost of the conference is $90 for non-CMA members if purchased by Oct. 1. Early bird registration costs for CMA members is $65, and early registration for students costs $20. Registration can be made online at www.cmatenn.org/conference/register.
