Thirty-three institutions, including Lee, host a campus kitchen that serves their community. The national conference is an opportunity for Cleveland and Bradley County organizations, along with high school and college students, to join CKP representatives in sharing ideas and developing further efforts to benefit these communities.
The goal of the workshop is to observe developmental practices, learn from one another, and gain perspective on new initiatives for each community. There will be three main tracks: High School Leaders, CKP and College Leaders, and Community Organization Leaders.
Robert Egger, president and founder of the DC Central Kitchen and the Campus Kitchens Project, along with Mike Curtin, CEO of the Central Kitchen and the Campus Kitchens Project, and Lee vice president of Student Development Dr. Mike Hayes will speak at the event.
Admission is $25, which covers all meals.
