Betty Duggan Witt Culler, 64, a resident of Ocoee, passed away at her home, Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 2, 2012.

She was born in Farner on Oct. 9, 1947. She was a daughter of the late John and Stella Duggan.

She was a lifelong resident of Polk County and a member of the New Zion Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Anita Duggan and Doris Duggan; and two brothers: Jimmy Duggan and J.C. Duggan.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory one daughter, Dana Long of Ocoee; one son, Roger Witt (Crystal) of Crandall, Ga.; three sisters: Joyce Vest of Ocoee, Juanita Brown of Dalton, Ga., and Rachel Ledford of Delano; one brother, Gary Duggan of Farner; three grandchildren: Cameron Witt, Shane Long and Cheyenne Long; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at New Zion Baptist Church, 100 New Zion Church Road in Farner, with the Rev. Raymond Akins and the Rev. Keith Raper officiating.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Tony Ledford, Scottie Ledford, Kevin Ledford, Cameron Witt, Marvin Grooms, and Johnny Winter serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the church from 5 to 8 this evening and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
