Cleveland Police continue to look for two people who have had warrants filed for their arrests.

Travis Ross Davis, 35, is wanted in connection with a check cashing conspiracy. Aaron Alexander Zaleta is wanted for theft over $500, theft under $500 and four counts of forgery.

The cases are not connected, according to officials at the Cleveland Police Department Criminal Investigations Division.

Lt. Robert Harbison had filed a report after being notified checks from L&G Farms Trucking had been cashed at local convenience stores.

The business was supposed to be located on Blue Springs Lane. The area was heavily damaged during the 2011 tornadoes.

According to Jenkins, during his investigation, he couldn’t find the physical business at the address on the check.

Checks, which were cashed, totaled more than $900, according to Jenkins.

The warrant for Davis is for forgery, theft over $500 and criminal conspiracy.

“We are asking for anyone knowing the owners of this business to also come forward,” Jenkins said.

According to Jenkins, Davis’ last known address was on Keith Valley Road.

According to Jenkins, Zaleta took checks from the offices of the International Outreach of the Church of God while the offices were being moved.

Zaleta was involved in the moving process, according to Jenkins. The account had been closed for two years.

Jenkins’ investigation revealed Zaleta had cashed several checks totaling $2,611.08.

The checks had been cashed at several business in the city and county, according to Jenkins.

Zaleta was also a suspect in a theft where a ladder and an air conditioner were taken from a former employer. Jenkins said the allegedly stolen items have been located.
