He was born on Oct. 26, 1930, in Huntington, W.Va., a son of the late John and Zula Ward.
He graduated from Buffalo High School in Huntington, and attended Marshall College. Bobby was a retired truck driver and former resident of Orlando, Fla.
He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Jean Chapman; and two brothers: Carroll “Charlie” Ward and Jim Ward.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 58 years, Nancy Ward; sons and their spouses: Bobby Jr. (Kathy) Ward of Orlando, Fla., and John (Rebecca) Ward of Cleveland; brothers: Donald Ward of Huntington, W.V. and David Ward of Charlotte, N.C.; and grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
