The Ocoee Middle School Lady Colts soccer team made school history Thursday winning a Southeast Tennessee Athletics Conference championship and completing the season undefeated.

OMS beat Athens 3-2 in a fiercely contested match.

“It was an amazing atmosphere. The game was played under the lights on Lee University’s field, and the stands were packed. I feel like we as coaches were just as, if not more nervous than the girls. I wanted this so bad for our girls. They deserve all the credit. My wife and I couldn’t be more proud of these young ladies. This is a very special group of girls. We have watched most of our eighth graders develop leaps and bounds, from their sixth grade year and it was evident in this game. They all hold a special place in our hearts. They made us proud to be their coaches,” said Lady Colts coach Kevin England.
