Recording and performing artist Ron Sample will headline the Cowboy Gospel Jubilee Friday evening at 7 p.m. The show is free and the public is invited.

“Ron is not only a talented singer,” said Will Nichols, producer of the weekly event. “He’s also a gifted songwriter and producer.

Sample is making his first appearance on the Jubilee but he is widely known for hit songs like “Grace Won’t Let Me Go” and his just-released “You Said It All”.

“‘The Ultimate Gospel Concert’ productions, including the one at Harrison Bay this Saturday, are produced by Ron,” said Nichols.

“And he founded R.S. Ministries, a referral organization of more than thirty singers, groups and preachers. A number of them have headlined the Jubilee.”

Also appearing this week is the award-winning singer-songwriter Elmer Bramlett and the Cowboy Church Band and Chorale. Nichols, known as “The Gospel Gun” is the announcer and a crowd favorite.

“There is no admission to the Jubilee and everyone is welcome. It’s a casual, come-as-you-are event,” continued Nichols.

“And each week we give away some terrific door prizes. We are located between Blackburn Road and Blue Springs Road in the Dockery Heights subdivision.”
