Spurgeon Mynatt, 85, passed away at his home, Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012.

He was the owner of Addison Electric Company and was retired from the Y-12 plant in Oak Ridge. He was a World War II Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; a sister; wife, Iva Lee Mynatt; and his daughter, Linda Riley.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn, of Knoxville; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and the Rev. Michael Ogle of Cleveland, Donna Mynatt of Knoxville; sons and daughters-in-law: David and Dina Hodges and Brian and Kelly Hodges, all of Knoxville; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; and several other family members.

He was a longtime faithful member of the Central Church of God where he had held numerous church offices.

The visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct, 12, 2012, at the Central Church of God with a celebration of his life to follow at 8 p.m. with the Revs. Jack Dean and Michael Ogle officiating.

Interment will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct, 13, 2012, at Highland West Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in Memphis.
