She was a homemaker and a member of Mountain View Church of God. She loved her family; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were very dear to her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Paul Ellis; parents, Willie and Cora Ritchey; infant son, William Paul Ellis II; son, Davis Carl Ellis; one brother ;and one sister.
Survivors include her daughter, Jane Joines (Rick) of Cleveland; sons: Lynn Ellis (Helen) of Ocoee and Tim Ellis (Faye) of Cleveland; grandsons: Richard Ellis (Julie), Joe Ellis and James T. Ellis; granddaughter, Emily Ellis; great-grandsons: Aaron Ellis, Darren Ellis, David Ellis, Justin Brown and Benton Ellis; great-granddaughter, Jacey Ellis; and special neighbors, Becky and John Pippenger, whom the family appreciate very much.
The funeral will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Rev. Arvis Cavender and Pastor Fred Mercer officiating.
Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
Her family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
