She was the daughter of the late Harmon Chastain and Mattie Sprouse Chastain. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Green.
She was a lifelong resident of Bradley County.
She was retired after 28 years with Westvaco. She was a member of Beacon Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters: Rosetta Lumley and her husband, Howard, of Cleveland, and Shirley Crumley and her husband, Tony, who was a special caregiver to Mrs. Green; one son, Ron Green and his wife, Kay, of Cleveland; two granddaughters: Tonya Malone and her husband, Ed, of Cleveland, and Karen Coley of Cleveland; great-grandchildren: Nathaniel Malone, Riley Cheek and Anna Driggans, all of Cleveland; her brother, Floyd Chastain of Cleveland; and nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life service will be conducted at Beacon Baptist Church Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 16, 2012, at 2 p.m. with the Revs. Floyd Boggess and Larry Chastain officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Monday, from 5 until 9 p.m., at the North Ocoee Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes.
