Keep America Beautiful is announcing this year’s America Recycle Challenge that runs through Nov. 8.

It is open to all schools and classes in the city of Cleveland and in Bradley County.

Schools and classes can sign up any time during the event.

The purpose of the yearly challenge is to emphasize the importance of recycling, said Joanne Maskew, executive director of the KAB.

Each class and/or school can gather recycle items, such as paper, cardboard, No. 1 and No. 2 plastic, and newspaper.

The first-place winners will receive a pizza party, the second-place winners an ice cream party, and the third-place winners a cupcake party.

For more information, contact Debbie Millard at Coca-Cola at 476-1131, and/or to sign up.
