Charles Dibreal Lawson, 70, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, in a Chattanooga health care facility.

He was born Feb. 20, 1942, a son of the late Theodore Carl Lawson and Mattie Belle Lawson.

He was a lifelong resident of Cleveland and was of the Pentecostal faith. He was also an avid sports enthusiast and coached Little League baseball.

In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, T.L. and Bob Lawson; and one sister, Rachel McKinney.

Survivors include two sons, Patrick (Cori) and Chris Lawson; and sister, Jackie Geren, all of Cleveland; brother, Bethel Lawson; two grandchildren, Linsy and Jace Lawson; several nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 this evening, Oct. 26, 2012, at Standfield Baptist Church, 1549 No Pone Road N.W., Georgetown TN 37336.

The funeral will immediately follow at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Eric Geren officiating.

The family and friends will assemble at 11 a.m. Saturday at 2012 at Hayes Shed Cemetery for a committal service with the Rev. Geren officiating.
