CHATTANOOGA — The Pool Place is hosting its first breast cancer fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, titled “Cannonballs for a Cure,” on Nov. 4 from 2 to 4 p.m. They are partnering with the North River YMCA.

Today, one out of every two women newly diagnosed with breast cancer reaches out to the American Cancer Society for help and support. The donations raised will enable investment in groundbreaking breast cancer research, free information and services for women diagnosed with the disease, and access to mammograms for women who need them. These donations will help more than 2.5 million breast cancer survivors celebrate another birthday this year.

The pool will be pink, the splashes will be huge, and money will be raised. This will be a donation-only entry, with a minimum donation of $15. There will be prizes offered for the best cannonball and for the highest fundraiser entry. The Pool Place will be giving away a trophy and two gift certificates to the winners.

Join The Pool Place and help cannonball their efforts towards a world without breast cancer.
