She was a member of North Cleveland Church of God, where she was in the Encouragers Class.
She served as a pastor’s wife while she worked tirelessly in the church ministry for 45 years.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by parents, Herman Rohus and Gladys Marion Rohus; her daughter, Gail Stephens; and her son, Richard M. Stephens.
She is survived by her husband, Pastor Kenneth Stephens, of Cleveland; grandson, who was reared as a son, Eric Stephens and wife, Kimberly, of Cleveland; sisters: Linda Ussery of Lexington, Ky., Brinda Shifflett of Marlin, Texas, Dottie Ferris of Terrell, Texas, Faye Barnes of Canton, Texas and Ruth Savage of Grand Saline, Texas; brother, J.R. Rohus of Grand Saline; three grandchildren: Richard Stephens Jr. of Alabama, Roxanne Pitta and husband, Scott, of Bridgewater, Mass., and Rochelle Stephens of Florida; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 this evening, Oct. 30, 2012, at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with a devotional prayer service to be held at 7:30 p.m. with Pastor Travis Porter officiating.
There will be a funeral service Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, in Wills Point, Texas.
Interment will follow in White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point.
