Johnny Gannaway, 57, a resident of Georgetown, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012.
He was employed with Ryder Trucking as a truck driver and had also worked with Heartland Trucking. He was a United States Veteran of the Army.
He was the son of the late Eugene and Emma Gannaway. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Gannaway.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Joyce Gannaway; daughter, Julie Gannaway of Cleveland; two sons, Joe Gannaway and his wife, Brandi, of Cleveland and Jason Gannaway of Georgetown; grandchildren: John and Coby Gannaway, and Jessica, Hayle and MaKayla Gannaway; five sisters: Martha Autman, Betty Gannaway, Patsy Harney, Donna Gannaway and Shirley Smith; one brother, Allen Gannaway; a very special brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Brenda Burton; and several nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at the Wildwood Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Revs. Ronnie Kesley and John Looper officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
The body will be cremated.
